Not only does face shape play a crucial role in finding the perfect pair of glasses, but skin tone also plays a large part when it comes to selecting the right color frames. Eye color is another factor that plays a role in determining whether one is a warm or cool colored person.

Most people either have warm or cool coloring, which determines which color frames look best on each person.

WARM COLORING Warm colored people have a yellow undertone to their skin.  Warm hair tones consist of golden blonde, black, red, light-brown and grey. Due to their facial and hair coloring, people who are warm colored often look the best in frames that are brown, gold, peach, camel, off-white, fire engine red, and blond or lighter tortoise.

COOL COLORING People with cool skin tones have either a pink or blue cast to their skin. Olive color skin tones are considered cool even though their skin is a mixture of blue and yellow.  People with cool hair tones have blonde, blue-black, white and dark-brown colored hair. People who have cool coloring tend to look better in glasses that are silver, black, plum, magenta, blue, pink, and darker tortoise shade.
