Dad is the word this month! This year marks a pivotal anniversary of the great holiday – this time 40 years ago the initiative to make Father’s Day a national holiday was in full swing.  After finding inspiration from Mother’s Day, Father’s Day was proclaimed a federal holiday to be celebrated on the third Sunday of every June by President Nixon in 1972.
