The arrival of October has us really feeling the seasonal change – and we are loving every second of it! The fall season happens to be one of our favorites, as it brings along fun and cozy things that you can only take advantage of during these few months. From family adventures to some peaceful activities, fall never lets us down. Here is what the BR|LGC team is most looking forward to:

Joyce loves the adventure that fall brings along with the great color changes in nature. Sailing north on the Hudson River from Nyack is one of her favorite fall pastimes – she enjoys taking in the beautiful scenery and noticing the trees change colors more every time she hits the water.

Jill M. has her own Hudson Valley favorites that are sure to please anyone. She recommends heading up to Hunter mountain for Oktoberfest for some great seasonal beer and yummy German food. (She also says The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls is a culinary masterpiece if German food isn’t quite what you’re looking for.) For some family fun or to take in the breathtaking views, Jill makes a point to visit Lawrence Farm for some pumpkin or apple picking – or hike Beacon Mountain to find the perfect spot for an awesome shot of the view.

Crystal also takes to the beautiful landscape and frequents Kaaterskill Falls in the Catskill Mountains during fall. She says you can take the hike – or drive up to the top of the mountain – to enjoy the view.

Robert, head of our International Sales department, looks forward to the fall to celebrate a holiday of his heritage – the Mid-Autumn Festival! This festival is celebrated once a year in mid-fall, when the moon is the roundest. Roberts says this tradition brings good times and great food with friends and family.

Kristin loves fall because of the cooler weather when she can wear thick, cozy sweaters and sleep under a heavy duvet with the windows slightly cracked for a nice fall breeze. She also loves mulled wine for the traditional spice flavor of fall as well as the fun transition to dark and earthy nail polish colors versus the bright and neon colors of summer!

Kendall enjoys fall smells like pumpkin pie, spice, and burning firewood. She says fall fashion is the best because you can start to layer-up and wear tall boots, trench coats, and scarves. Kendall says you can’t forget about the homemade hot cider and the fall coffee flavors at Starbucks – yum!

Lori and Cliff – who both have little ones – enjoy taking their children out for apple picking. Cliff recommends Wilkens Farm or Silvermans Farm. And of course, you can’t leave out Halloween!

And though he lives in a tropical paradise that is Florida, Henry loves the early sunrise and sunsets that falls brings!

Just a few reasons why we love fall – hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
