It’s official – Summer 2013 is coming to an end. With only a few more official days of summer to go, we’re cheering ourselves up by reminiscing on the season’s most unforgettable tunes, courtesy of the BR|LGC team!
Some of the BR|LGC men went with classic songs that paid tribute to the wonders of summertime. Straight out of the 1960′s, Cliff rocked out to Lovin’ Spoonful‘s “Summer in the City,” a tune perfect for our fellow New Yorkers who staycationed in the city this season.
Travis also enjoys tunes from the most iconic artists of our time, including The Beatles and Jimmy Buffet for his go-to summer playlist. With songs like “The Ballad of John and Yoko” and “Come Monday,” you can’t help but think back to that summer day of relaxation and fun.
No summer playlist is complete without some country music! David named Darius Rucker‘s version of “Wagon Wheel” as the song of the summer, a new rendition of the hit country song. Fans were overjoyed at the completion of this Bob Dylan original when Rucker joined forces with Old Crow Medicine Show to debut this new hit.
Kendall couldn’t get enough of the group Daft Punk. Their song “Get Lucky” in collaboration with Pharrell was a favorite of hers. She was also listening to Solange – yes, Beyonce’s little sister – all summer long, even stopping by a couple of her summer shows in NYC!
The summer days might be behind us, but you can bet we will keep rocking out to our favorite summer tunes all year long!
