In this edition of Spotlight On, we get to know Hannah a little better. Hannah is a member of our fabulous Customer Service team and we are excited to introduce her to you!
BR|LGC: Job Title & Description?
Hannah: I’m a Customer Service Representative. I process orders, speak with the reps on a daily basis, and help our company’s accounts as well as direct consumers to anything they might need.
BR|LGC: How long have you worked for BR|LGC?
H: Just passed my one year mark last week!
BR|LGC: What’s the best thing about working in the city?
H: I would have to say the diversity of food selection. If you’re feeling like Thai food one day and then Cuban the next, you can always find a few good restaurants to choose from!
BR|LGC: Where are you from and where do you currently live. How long have you lived in that area?
H: I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. 23 years and counting!
BR|LGC: Where did you go to college? What was your major?
H: I went to McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. I majored in Communication and minored in Spanish, Human Resources, and Sociology.
BR|LGC: Describe yourself with three words.
H: Considerate. Caring. Honest.
BR|LGC: What sports did you play growing up? If not sports, what were your favorite activities?
H: I was on a softball little league team for two years but I enjoyed playing basketball and soccer with my dad and my older brother.
BR|LGC: Where’s your favorite TV show?
H: I don’t really watch any TV shows at the moment, but I used to watch One Tree Hill religiously.
BR|LGC: What’s your favorite movie?
H: Zoolander! I love comedies and Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell are two of my favorite actors.
BR|LGC: What’s your coffee/tea order?
H: A medium blonde roast with 2% milk, no sugar from Starbucks, but I love and drink almost every kind of tea out there.
BR|LGC: If you could go ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, where would it be?
H: I love to travel, and have so many places on my list, but I would have to say Italy because I heard it has very beautiful scenery and delicious food (two of the most important things for me to travel).
BR|LGC: What is your favorite “not for tourists” thing to do in NYC?
H: Having Dim Sum in Chinatown in NYC with my family, it’s actually comparable to Hong Kong’s Dim Sum where it originated (I had it in Hong Kong last summer before I started working here). If any of you have yet to try it, I highly recommend going right here in the city – Jing Fong on Elizabeth Street is really good!
BR|LGC: What’s your favorite comfort food?
H: It’s a Chinese Dish (which is half of my heritage). It’s white rice, a barbequed pork (char siu), and a green sautéed vegetable (bok choy).
BR|LGC: Number One Played Song/Artist on your iPod?
H: I would have to say Rihanna, she has a ton of catchy songs that are also great to work out to.
BR|LGC: Do you have any secret skills or hobbies?
H: I played the violin since I was 7 but haven’t picked it up since the beginning of college so I’m definitely a little rusty by now.
BR|LGC: You told us about your favorite frame from the Spring 2011 collections already. Any other favorite style/color in the BR|LGC collections and why?
H: I really like those new tortoises on the DY Floating Logo (DY 078 – 00) sunglasses such as tortoise lavender and tortoise green; they are a great way to have a unique piece in your own personal collection.
Thanks Hannah!
BR|LGC: How long have you worked for BR|LGC?
Jillian: Traveling! I’ve been to Milan and
