There’s a familiar face on TV now: Lifetime’s 24 Hour Catwalk with host Alexa Chung and judges Derek Blasberg, James LaForce, and our own Cynthia Rowley. We watched it and we loved it! Our DVRs are now set to record each episode of the first season – Lifetime on Tuesdays at 10PM!

So what is 24 Hour Catwalk?

Each week Alexa Chung will welcome four new promising designers to the show. They are all given the same “first cut challenge” that is meant to test their innovation and aesthetic in a two hour time frame. The judges then critique each look and send two designers packing. The final two then move on to the 24 hour challenge. Each designer has a group of experienced sewers to help them create 3 looks that will walk down the catwalk for all the judges to see and by the end of the show, one designer is afforded a cash prize and the chance to become the next “it” name in fashion.
