Yesterday marked the end of New York Fashion Week and though we may be a bit sad about it, we definitely ended it in the right place! Cynthia Rowley presented her Spring 2013 Ready-to-Wear collection on Fashion Week’s final day, showing some great new pieces. Held at 5 Beekman Street in a crumbling old hotel with a warehouse feel, CR wowed her guests with vivid prints, amazing accessories, and glitter that fell like snow. CR also showed off the gorgeous eyewear that Jamie and the product development team created especially for the installation! With their retro wayfarer shape and soft, cloudy hues, these frames made every look that much more fun! Check out below for a picture recap of the presentation:

Of all the shows at New York Fashion Week, Betsey Johnson’s is always the liveliest. Pink, Leopard, Glitter – everywhere! And we love every second of it. This season, Betseymania was in full-swing on the catwalk giving off a strong sixties vibes with pops of houndstooth, mod prints, and neon.

Aside from the below looks, our favorite part about the collection was the soundtrack!  It was jammed full of The Beatles, The Supremes, and Dusty Springfield remixed with random pop hits like Lip Gloss.

Our Favorites:

There’s something about this look that makes us feel like international spies – we think it’s the hat + military blazer combo!

What girl doesn’t love sparkle? This gold number is a frock we’d love to add to our collections.

Outerwear is everything - and this houndstooth coat has us weak in the knees.

It’s that time of year: New York Fashion Week. And there was no better way to kick it off than with the Cynthia Rowley Fall/Winter 2012 Catwalk. Cynthia herself is a one-of-a-kind so it’s no wonder that her runway was as well. Held in the spectacular IAC building, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, the one-sided runway wrapped around the lobby while the back-drop was a live-streamed, multi-angle black and white screen of the show. This allowed for the entire audience to see each look at all times – from the side, front, and back!

Along with the video installation, we also loved the collection! Here are our favorite looks:

Love the crackle detail in the pattern! And that pop of deep red along the sides! This is such a statement piece - perfect for fall! Also, the jewels by Dannijo are to die for!

Olive tones are always gorgeous and we love them here - that sweater has us wishing for fall already and winter has barely begun. And how about those vintage Cynthia Rowley frames? The perfect accessory (other than the neon green feather of course!)

Coats are our favorite part about winter. And this plaid is divine!

There's no denying it - this all white number is a knock out! But what really got our attention is the jeweled collar!

We think it’s safe to say, Fall 2012 is going to be one good looking season!

Betsey Johnson Sweetens NYFW

It’s that time of year: New York Fashion Week and it begins February 9th and we couldn’t be more excited to see what will go down the catwalk! This morning we received our invites to the Betsey Johnson show on February 13th and of course we RSVP’d with a resounding YES!

And Betsey Johnson sweetened the deal by sending out trays of sparkly pink Baked by Melissa cupcakes with all of their invitations. What goes in a special edition Betsey Johnson cupcake, you ask? Well, we can tell you they’re a fruity fuchsia tie-dyed concoction, topped off with pink vanilla icing, white-chocolate pop rocks and multicolored glitter! What more would you expect from the queen of pink leopard?
