Spring has definitely sprung and we are always excited for the start of nice weather, longer days and new opportunities.  We thought that April would be the perfect month to introduce our newest team member, Account Executive Sandy Bass.  Sandy was kind enough to take the time to interview before starting a whirlwind three-week work trip – best wishes to her and please read on for this month’s Spotlight On: Sandy.

BR|LGC: How long have you worked for BR|LGC?

Sandy Bass: I joined the Legacie family almost 6 months ago.

BR|LGC: Job Title & Description?

SB: Account Executive.   I am responsible for  development of sales and training in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and El Paso Texas.

BR|LGC: What’s the best thing about working in the field as an Account Executive?

SB: I love people.  More than anything I love to sell and teach others to sell.  I love the excitement of seeing others become successful.   I also enjoy the travel, of seeing new places and sights along the road as I do my job!

BR|LGC: Do you need glasses?

SB: Yes,  I have worn glasses since the age of 10.

BR|LGC: Where are you from and where do you currently live.  How long have you lived in that area?

SB: I have spent the majority of my life living in Arizona, but, for the past 6 years, my husband Deryl and I have called Arvada, Colorado our home.  We love the Rockies, the beautiful seasons and the change of climate.

BR|LGC: Where did you go to college? And if so, what was your major?

SB: I didn’t go to a traditional college, however, I am a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America.  My first career field was fine jewelry store management.

BR|LGC: Where’s your favorite TV show?

SB: MAD MEN every Sunday night. [editor note: great show -we're big fans too!]

BR|LGC: What’s your favorite movie?

SB: I cannot say that I have just one favorite,  however I really enjoy Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.

BR|LGC: What’s your coffee/tea order?

SB: My favorite…Starbucks Carmel Macchiato.  But not very often!

BR|LGC: What’s your current favorite style/color in the Legacie collections?

SB: I really love the new Royal Plisse sunglass JL650 in color 02 and hope to have it soon.  Today I am wearing the Glamstone JL1616 in color 04 and I love all of the comments when I am out about the beauty of the frame.

BR|LGC: Please describe yourself with three words:

SB: Happy, Determined and Focused

BR|LGC: If you could go ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, where would it be?

SB: I have been fortunate to have traveled extensively and the one place that I would love to visit again is Vienna, Austria. The music, scenery, architecture and food are all wonderful!

BR|LGC: What’s your favorite comfort food?

SB: Being raised in Arizona, my favorite food is Mexican.  Especially cheese enchiladas and chicken tacos.

BR|LGC: Do you have any secret skills or hobbies?

SB: At the Bass household we love to entertain, Deryl does all of the decorating of the house and dining room table with centerpiece and place settings and  I do the cooking. We love to throw dinner parties for 4 or for 40!
