Hands down, March is our craziest month of year – it’s trade show season! So naturally we thought it best to put the spotlight on Johanna, our office whiz without whom coordinating any of our events would be nearly impossible! Johanna is our Relations Manager which roughly means she works with each and every department in our office making her the Queen of Multi-tasking. Henry describes her as a bottle of 5-Hour Energy personified! Without further ado, allow us to introduce Ms. Johanna Breton:

BR|LGC: How long have you worked for BR|LGC?

Johanna: This summer it will be 7 years.

BR|LGC: Job Title & Description?

Johanna: Relations Manager

BR|LGC: What do you like most about your job?

Johanna: Everyday I face new challenges and so I’m always making and meeting new goals and I really enjoy being able to do that.

BR|LGC: Do you need glasses?

Johanna: No, but I love the David Yurman DY073 frame.  They are my favorite sunglass because they are simple and classic, just like myself!  

BR|LGC: How long have you lived in the NY Area?

Johanna: Almost 4 years, since I got married.  But I’m originally from New Jersey.

BR|LGC: Where did you go to college?

Johanna: Marymount Manhattan College in the Upper East Side.

BR|LGC: What was your major?

Johanna: Business Management, with a minor in International Business and Trade.

BR|LGC: What’s the best thing about working in the city?

Johanna: Shopping and FOOD!!!  You can find all the stores you need and let’s not get into food…  I am a FOOD LOVER! 

BR|LGC: Where’s your favorite restaurant?

Johanna: I don’t have just one! As I am a big food lover, I can’t really make up my mind.  But I definitely prefer a friendly atmosphere.  Good restaurant = good food + good service.

BR|LGC: What’s your favorite “Not For Tourists” thing to do in the city?

Johanna: Shop! EVERYWHERE!

BR|LGC: What’s your coffee/tea order?

Johanna: Coffee when I need it in the AM – specifically a Vanilla Latte from Starbucks. But lately, our director of Customer Service, Lindsey, has turned me on to Green Tea because I’ve been trying to get healthier and green tea is a great caffeine alternative!

BR|LGC: Describe yourself with three words:

Johanna: Friendly – competitive – workaholic.

BR|LGC: If you could go ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, where would it be?

Johanna: A place where I am stress free, but I don’t think such a place exists!

BR|LGC: What’s your comfort food?

Johanna: It’s a staple in the Dominican Republic (where I’m from) – it’s just a meal that consists of rice (my favorite!), beans and meat with a side of green salad and avocado.

BR|LGC: Number One Played Song/Artist on your iPod?

Johanna: A Spanish song- Amor Divino.  My Spanish heritage has a large influence on my playlists!

This month, we are excited to introduce you to Henry for our latest installment of “Spotlight On”.

Henry is one of our sales executives and is based in sunny southern Florida.  He is friendly and kind and is a true gentleman – he is always going the extra mile for his accounts.  Henry is also very helpful to our team with his constructive feedback and honest insider info.  We also appreciate that he is always willing to utilize the marketing team’s latest initiatives (including agreeing to be interviewed for this post!).

Without further ado, we present you with an interview with Henry:

BR|LGC: How long have you worked for BR|LGC?

Henry: Three years!

BR|LGC: Job Title & Description?

Henry: Account Executive for Southeast USA which includes Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

BR|LGC: Where’d you go to College? What was your major?

Henry: University of Colorado, Business Administration.

BR|LGC: Do you need glasses?

Henry: Yes. And I’m wearing a favorite pair of mine right now – the Kata Reverse 3 in Crystal.


BR|LGC: What is your favorite thing about being an account executive:

Henry: Solving issues.

BR|LGC: How often do you visit New York City?

Henry:  About once a year for Vision Expo East – which is getting very close.

BR|LGC: What’s your favorite thing to do when you visit?

Henry: Rest – the visits are brutal and challenging but full of adventure!

BR|LGC: Now tell us a little bit about your area, where do you live?

Henry: When I’m home, Miami Beach. Enough said -  everything one hears is true! When I’m traveling, it’s from one Marriott Hotel to another.

BR|LGC: Where’s your favorite restaurant?

Henry: My kitchen – especially when I’m blending up Smoothies!

BR|LGC: What’s your favorite “Not For Tourists” thing to do in Miami?

Henry: Yoga on the beach at sunrise.  

BR|LGC:  What’s your coffee order?

Henry: Tall, Black and will it keep me up???

BR|LGC: Describe yourself with three words.

Henry: I’m a Gemini, no such thing as three in my world! Best I can do is a good “Ying and Yang”.

BR|LGC: If you could go ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, where would it be and why?

Henry: Tibet, I’m very much into Buddhism.

BR|LGC: What’s your comfort food?

Henry: Steel cut oats, almonds and berries, yumieee!

BR|LGC: Number One Played Song/Artist on your iPod?

Henry: Anything Steely Dan.
